30 Days of Buffy: Day 7
Favourite Friendship: Tara and Buffy

I actually have no strong opinion on this (if it had been Angel though, VERY STRONG OPINIONS), and my answer was almost Jonathan and Andrew because they crack me up, even though Andrew kinda killed Jonathan, which is a dampener on any friendship. Then Tumblr ate that post so I took it as a sign and chose something else.

This post really has to be more about why Tara is the most amazing person ever, rather than why their friendship as such is so great. Buffy and Tara actually aren’t very close. However, Tara is always sympathetic and non-judgemental. She can comfort Buffy when Joyce dies. When Buffy breaks down and confides in someone about her fucked-up relationship-ish-thing with Spike, it’s Tara she confides in. Tara keeps Buffy’s secret, but gets all awesomely sassy towards Spike from then onwards (“A muscle cramp… in your pants?”).

Basically, if I got to choose anyone on Buffy the Vampire Slayer to be my friend, it would be Tara. And we don’t get to see her friendships with many people (she has a sweet thing going with Dawn though), so this is my choice. Tara, you are the best <3
