I’ve tried to avoid listening to too much She Wants Revenge lately because their stuff is too heartbreakingly accurate, but I really fell off the bandwagon today. Oh well. It’s good music.
Not that the Tumblr player lets you keep track, but the highlight for me is defs 4:21 onwards. Just the loud chanting of, “He’ll never get you, he will never understand; he’ll never get you, you can find a better man…” overlaid on those drums…

Also, I love how every song by this band makes it very obvious why the band’s name is what it is, ha ha

shit, remember that time I discovered this song and then promptly forgot about it?! WHY DID I DO THAT. How perfect is it?! Trick question, no human language has a way of expressing the beauty of this song…
I will say though, that the guy in She Wants Revenge who writes all these lyrics about how “it feels so right” should really stop and think about what he’s doing because every time he says “it feels so right” it’s always in a situation that is either rapey or one he will regret the morning after… every time I hear this line I want to be all, “back the fuck up bro, let’s think about this.”
But that’s an aside.

I found this version of the song on Grooveshark the other day, and I have driven myself just about to the point of despair trying to work out where it comes from, and all associated existential questions. But it doesn’t seem to be a remix that Wikipedia or even Google knows about… is it a demo? I don’t think it’s a live recording because there’s no clapping or cheering but maybe? I want it in my iTunes so badddd but where is it?!
